Do you remember 1994? Were you even born yet? It was the year Paul Keating was Prime Minister of Australia, Forrest Gump declared “Life was like a box of chocolates”, the West Coast Eagles won the premiership and Brucy Bulldog won the phantom race call at the EFJFC Quiz Night. Hang on, who’s Brucy Bulldog?
If you were around the East Fremantle Junior Football Club in 1994 you might know. If you weren’t, well now you can find out who Brucy Bulldog was and what else was happening at the East Fremantle Junior Football Club in 1994? Current EFJFC Committee Member Dale Jones has sourced a copy of the ’94 Yearbook. You can download this wonderful piece of EFJFC history which includes team photos, coaches reports on every player and some adverts to bring back memories.
A read through some of the coaches reports on individual players will surely provide some hilarity. For example, Damien Shanks the 13’s coach wrote the following report on Warren Quintal:
“A football maniac, and if I hear the name Modra once more I’ll scream. Wozza needs to work on his kicking and improve his training attitude. Played his best game against South Perth.”
If you have any historical documents that you think we would find interesting, then please contact Dale Jones or myself. You can find our contact details on the Committee page.
