The East Fremantle Junior Football Club is deeply saddened by the passing of Life Member and past President Mr Max Whiteford on 7th July 2013. Our deepest sympathy to the Whiteford family. Max is survived by his wife Joy who was made a Life Member of the Club in 1981 with Max.
Max was the coach of the under 10s for the year of 1975 and following that was the president from 1978 to 1979. Max also conducted maintenance and busy bee’s around the club rooms when required.
Joy supported Max by helping in the canteen on the home games and assisting with players tea’s nights, fund raising and also transporting children from the under 10s, to and from games when parents were unable to attend. Both attended all fund raising events held at the club, and also supplied a car and trailer when the bottle drives were conducted around the streets of East Fremantle. Max and Joy Whiteford were made life members of EFJFC in 1981.
The East Fremantle Junior Football Club would like to acknowledge Max’s work for the club as President and also in roles Coaching, Club Maintenance and Fund Raising.
