Returning and New Players from year 3 to year 12 can register via the SportingPulse website, please follow this link to register online. Anyone who wants to register in person can also come down to the Registration Open day Sunday 21 Feb 10am to 1pm at Henry Jeffery Oval.
The club is grateful to have the Leadership of two former AFL greats in Steve O’Reilly (Year 11 Coach – 146 AFL games, 1996 Doig Medalist) and Shaun McManus (Year 9 Coach – 228 AFL Games, Fremantle Captain 2000-01) sign up to coach in 2016.
Pre season training for Junior and Youth Players (Year 5 to year 11)
We will be running free evening pre-season training sessions for registered players from early or Mid March. This will be all age groups together, although if numbers are high enough we will group similar ages together. The rough plan is for 1 hour sessions with 50% cardio/boxing/body weight training and 50% ball skills on 3 nights a week. We will need at least 2 coaches for each of the sessions. Please contact Travis French if you can help!
Coach Meetings and coach education sessions
We plan to have 2 or 3 coaching sessions and if you are part of the coaching team we will be in touch about these. We have a lead on some cutting edge coaching methods aimed at increasing skills and fitness via much higher levels of ball use with innovative drills.
Prepare to unleash your inner Bogan – c’mon deep down we all have one; there’s no point denying it! Pull out the flannel checks, the old DB’s and a big fat Texta…, and prepare for an amazing night of “Bogan Bingo” in support of the East Fremantle Junior Football Club.
This years only social event really must be seen to be believed. Here’s your chance to have a night out like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. And the best part is you get to hang out with your dodgy mates from the footy club while you’re at it.
Bogan Bingo is half game show, half party, backed with a head-banging mix of 80’s and 90’s anthems and a healthy dose of comedy. Then throw in the ultimate air guitar competition, a rock’n DJ, so we can hit the dance floor after the bingo barrel’s been emptied, and the mullets will be swinging in full force.
But it doesn’t stop there. With a swag of prizes and auctions galore it will be almost impossible to say “no Shazza, we’re not going!”
$30 is all it costs for an awesome night out at the Swan Yacht Club and we’ll even throw in a light supper platter for each table to enjoy. Make up your tables on the night or cozy up with some new found Bogan mates by filling up some spare seats. Either way, it’s just all too easy maaaate!
So keep the 31st July at 19:30 free, or cancel whatever else you are supposed to be at, and get your tickets here – you know they’ll go faster than a worked V8.
Love youse all!
East Fremantle Junior Football Club
The East Fremantle Junior Football Club has decided to join Pull On Your Socks 2015 – an initiative from the McGrath Foundation that brings a splash of pink to our winter sport. The McGrath Foundation needs our help to reach its tenth anniversary goal of increasing the number of McGrath Breast Care Nurses across Australia to 110 to support 10,000 families experiencing breast cancer. To date, the McGrath Foundation has funded 102 nurses who have supported 33,000 families through the challenges of breast cancer.
As a Club, we have decided that this is a fun way to fundraise for a great cause, and that as a local community we can get together and get behind this. We would like every team, including those Coaches and Parents that can, to wear the McGrath Foundation Pink Socks for games on the weekend of 15th & 16th August 2015.
Teams can also come up with individual fundraising ideas leading up to and on that weekend (cake stalls, raffles, sponsors wearing the socks, ideas welcome). The club has registered with the McGrath Foundation and set up an online fundraising website, with a goal of raising $5,000. The link is below, please share this link to your family and friends and help to raise awareness of our fundraising activity.

Janice and Neil are survived by their sons Darryl and Wesley who played their junior football with EFJFC. The club would like to acknowledge the past service of Janice, and express our condolences to her sons Darryl and Wes Philips, and grandsons Jonathon and Benjamin, on this sad occasion.
